The Cast of As it is in Heaven in today's fashions
A doodle I began on impulse that I discovered was actually a really useful exercise in getting to know one's characters, if said characters inhabit an historical/fantasy/sci-fi or otherwise not contemporary setting. Fashion is a kind of language, and to imagine how the characters might style themselves in my native tongue, of which I have far more knowledge of the nuance each garment carries than I could ever possess of late 18th century fashion, aided me in getting to know each character a little better. I can definitely recommend trying this if you have OCs to which this exercise might be applicable.
